Christmas in Bali

This year we had a wonderful tropical Christmas spent with family in Bali! It was an amazing ten days of relaxation - wow! Yes, we got a couple days of touring in but for the most part we took time between meals to either lounge on the beach or lounge by the pool. It was great!

We spent the vacation with Rob, Tara, and Ella at the Intercontinental on Jimabaran Beach. The resort is amazing. We body-surfed in the waves until our bodies were bruised and our faces were sunburned - so fun! Tara and I spent one morning on a fabulous bike tour through the area and learned a lot about the local culture.

Christmas evening was meant to be a cultural dance show and dinner on the beach but a huge thunderstorm thwarted those plans and the celebration was moved indoors. Not quite the same but we still had a wonderful evening.

We spent one day wandering abound Ubud, too which is so gorgeous and always worth the time spent. I am so glad we got to spend at least one more amazing holiday together before we all head back to the States!
