There were at total of ten kids with us, nine of them were boys, and 9 of them were between the ages of 7 and 11. They had a great time and pretty much had the run of the island. There was a beautiful pool on one end of the island and the kids kept busy there, fishing off the pontoon, flying kites, watching fireworks, playing games - it was a great weekend. And completely electronics-free, not one cell-phone, video game, or anything. . . except for the opening night of the World Cup. The staff was nice enough to construct a huge bamboo pole for the aerial and found a TV that they tried to show the game on. The reception as so terrible that we all finally gave up and accepted the fact that we would miss the opening games. :)
We also got to celebrate Jonah's 7th birthday on the island!! And the staff was nice enough to bake him a special cake. It was only a long weekend but being out in the middle of the ocean with no contact on a tiny little island was amazing. Next time I want to stay even longer!
