We took another trip to Bintan Island and stayed at the same resort again - the Bintan Lagoon Resort. It was our last trip of the summer before school started. We had a great time just laying on the beach and lounging by the pool. We also took a tour of the mangroves which was amazing! The boat took us right up through the forest and we saw all kinds of creatures - lizards, snakes, monkeys. It was about an hour long tour and well worth it - it was our first time seeing mangroves up close and the twisted root systems were fascinating! We even got to see some old houses that the local fisherman sometimes use while fishing. It was a great trip - Bintan is jsut a short hour-long ferry ride away, so it is the perfect quickie beach trip for us!
Also, this month we celebrated both Ethan and Liam's birthdays! The boys are getting so big - Ethan is now 9, Jonah turned 6 in June, and Liam is now 2! Happy birthdays to all our summer babies! :) And last but not least, I included a couple photos from the first day of school this year.
