First Few Days in Singapore - Part 3

So on to the boy's school! They are attending the Singapore American School. It is a beautiful school - grades pre-K through 12. There are four separate buildings on the same grounds that house each school separately. The grounds are gorgeous, and they have lots of great classes to offer. Both the boys started learning Chinese right away. Ethan is in the 2nd grade with Mr. W., and Jonah is now in Kindergarten with Mr. K. They have to wear uniforms everyday - blue shorts/white shirts - and they get to ride a big bus to and from school. It is about a 30 minute bus ride, so they usually fall asleep. They both have done a really great job settling right into school. They really like it and have made lots of friends, too. Here are some photos of the school and of the boys waiting for the bus!

Fun Facts!
  • SAS has about 4,000 students total representing 54 different countries.
  • SAS is an international school that runs on an American curriculum.
  • Infamous American teenager, Michael Fay, who was involved in the 1993 "caning" in Singapore was a former SAS student.
